FACILITIES AND SERVICES

Facilities and services

Our facilities are up to date and very well equipped to deal with every eventuality. This enables us to provide the very best level of care and treatment for your pets. Day or night, we are always on call, and one of our vets will be able to assist you.

Our branch surgery at Winchcombe offers consultation appointments and routine operations. The main surgery in Broadway has three consultation rooms meaning multiple appointments can run simultaneously. Both surgeries have spacious waiting rooms with separate areas for dogs and cats.

We have a highly skilled team of surgeons who carry out all routine procedures, from lump removals and neutering through to orthopaedics, dealing with emergencies and lifesaving operations. We are also able to carry out the less invasive 'laparoscopic' procedures (including bitch spays) delivering quicker recovery times. Our theatres are equipped with gaseous exchange anaesthetic and monitoring equipment.

The imagery from our digital radiography, ultrasonography and both rigid and flexible endoscopy enables the vets to instantly visualise internal structures and function. We use these imaging tools to spot fractures and dislocations, locate masses, diagnose pregnancy and carry out cardiac scans to name a few.

We believe oral health is extremely important for overall well-being, therefore we carry out a scale and polish treatment on many pets to try and keep on top of dental complaints. We will also do multiple extractions when necessary, which will lead to a much happier and more comfortable animal - they will be back eating normally again within a few days! Our dental suites have modern, air-driven equipment, as well as a dental x-ray machine.

Our wards are separated into 'dog', 'cat' and 'isolation'. This provides each individual with a more comfortable and less stressful stay. Our wards have been recently renovated and the kennels are modern and designed specifically for their function.

An in-house laboratory gives us the opportunity to feedback results of tests to you in a timely manner meaning any treatment required can be addressed straight away.

We cover our own out of hours care for both emergencies and the hospitalisation of inpatients. This means that you will always be seen in familiar surroundings by a vet and nurse who you will probably already know. If you require OOH attention for your pet please call the normal surgery number 01386 852421 or 01242 602235.
